2- Types of weathering
A. Mechanical Weathering involves the physical
disintegration of rock. The process produces smaller rock particles that have
the same composition as the parent material.
B. Chemical Weathering involves the decomposition of rock,
transforms the parent material chemically, and releases mineral grains.
C- Biological Weathering
Biological weathering involves the disintegration of
rock and mineral due to the chemical and/or physical agents of an organism
